Wall-E, a Lab mix, was adopted for the first time in 2015 from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC). The adorable puppy believed he’d found his forever family. Sadly, he was returned to the shelter with two garbage bags three years later.
The previous owner surrendered his bed and all of his toys, as well as Wall-E, to the garbage bags. The family was in tears when the decision to surrender the dog was made, according to the shelter. ”This guy deserves a forever family who won’t give up on him.
Please don’t make fun of his previous owners. We don’t have all of the facts. We do know that the owner was distraught and crying. It was difficult to finally assist them in leaving. The employees were crying alongside the owners. We don’t believe this was a hasty decision.”
Wall-E, on the other hand, was perplexed and left wondering what he had done wrong to end up back at the shelter.
“He was surrendered by his family because they did not have enough time for him,” Jordan Bader, manager of the shelter’s Facebook page, told The Dodo. He was terrified. He would bark and bark in his kennel.”
The shelter put up a photo of Wall-E and his belongings with a plea for a new forever home. The heartbreaking image quickly went viral. “Here is Wall-E when he was being surrendered by his owner,” the staff wrote alongside the photo. They brought all of his belongings, as if they were going to be in his kennel with him two months later.”
The 6-year-old Lab mix was housebroken and friendly with children. For two months, he went unnoticed until a woman saw his photo and heard his story. He only desired a home that would love him for the rest of his life.
Well, he discovered it! Lynn Lee arrived at the shelter and struck up a conversation with the dashing young man. She fell in love with Wall-E right away and adopted him. She brought her other dog with her, and they got along swimmingly. Wall-E will now spend the rest of his life at the park, sleeping in the sun.
Remember that dogs consider you to be a member of their pack and should be treated as such. They would never abandon or leave you, so do not abandon them. Adopt instead of shopping!
