Zeus is a 7-year-old Siberian Husky with a strong sense of independence. He despises being told what to do or when to get up in the morning.
When his mother tells him it’s time to get up and go for a walk, he does what many huskies do so well: he howls in protest. As he howls and “argues” with his mother to stay in bed, he barely lifts his head.
We imagine he’s telling his mother that he deserves to sleep in every now and then, just like humans. After all, he enjoys his morning snoozes and being lazy. But he has a lot of energy to complain. And he complains in the way that only a Husky can.
But his persistent whining irritates his canine sibling, and the Shepherd jumps on the bed to encourage him to get moving so he can go outside as well.
It’s not the first or last time Zeus screams in displeasure. He’s been known to throw a temper tantrum when he’s tired and doesn’t want to go for a walk, or when he wants to take a bath.
Even Zeus appears to have realized that you can’t stay in bed forever, especially when there’s breakfast to eat, adventures to have, and more howling to do.
