When Jaxson the Bullmastiff’s human, Jason Floyd, returns home from Army basic training, the overjoyed enormous dog leaps onto Jason – all 160 pounds of him!
While Jason is sitting in a chair, the Bullmastiff climbs on top of him and smothers him with love.
While attending Army basic training, Jason, 19, had been gone from 14-month-old Jaxson for months. Lisa Floyd, Jaxson’s mother, says she’s put his son’s t-shirts on pillows for him to snuggle up to while he’s been away.
Jason’s mother described the moment the two reunited as “extremely touching and wonderful.” “I was grateful to be able to record that so that we could always have that, you know, that moment,” says the photographer.
As Jason was abroad, Jaxson’s mother, Lisa Floyd of Greenville, Rhode Island, stuffed his t-shirts into pillows for him to snuggle up to while he mourned his human sibling.
In the video below, you can see the touching reunion.
