When his new father returns home, the rescue dog freaks out.

After their first week apart, a rescue dog gave his new father a very enthusiastic welcome home.

Mark O’Neill and his Staffordshire Bull Terrier Patch have a special bond and are rarely separated since Mark and his partner Kerrigan adopted the dog from the Scottish SPCA last year. Patch was a stray who ended up at the shelter for 5 months before Mark and Kerrigan adopted him.

Kerrigan, 27, recently had to spend a week away from Patch, and she knew their reunion would be special, so she made sure to have her camera ready. She was dead on! Patch loses it completely when the door opens and he sees Mark standing there.

Rescue dogs have a lot of love to give! Share the joy of this happy family reunion with your friends!
