Cruise the horse is a big fan of Marty Calhoun’s flute playing and has the cutest reaction every time his father plays a piece of music.
Marty is standing in front of Cruise’s stall in the barn in the adorable video below. Marty clearly enjoys playing the Native American flute for his horse as much as Cruise does!
Marty reveals that Cruise is an Appaloosa (a Native American horse breed) and that he enjoys being serenaded by Native American Flute.
“A little factoid; his [Cruise’s] niece is the spotted horse that Leonardo Dicaprio rode in the film The Revenant,” Marty adds.
The Native American flute has a distinct sound that is frequently referred to as “warbling.” Perhaps it’s this warble that Cruise adores. And, as it turns out, Cruise isn’t the only horse who enjoys the sound of a flute. Michael Telapary performs on a High Spirits Contra Bass Flute in F# for several horses at the Animu Luce horse farm in Belgium in the video below.
