The Most Adorable Role Ever Is Given To A Dog Hired At The Post Office

Jax is a big fish in a small pond, an adorable black dog with a narrow white stripe on his chest.

Jax, who lives in the small village of Portree on the Scottish island of Skye, is well-known for his important job in a run-down post office run by his human, Ray Chandler.

The happy-go-lucky dog, you see, has a very specific job title: he’s the Official Stamp Licker at the post office! He’s even got his own sign:

In a story by The Dodo, Chandler said, “Jax absolutely loves it.” “He’ll actually lick your stamps,” says the narrator.

Every day, customers anticipate seeing the puppy, who cheerfully greets them and assists them with their packages. In fact, he’s so enthusiastic about his job that he sometimes licks stamps a little too hard, swallowing them!

This “occasional blunder,” according to Chandler, means that stamp-licking services are provided at the “customer’s risk.”

Most people, on the other hand, are willing to overlook any of the eager dog’s genuine errors… after all, he only wants to help! Despite his amusing gaffes, the social pooch is an expert in the field of customer service.

Chandler said in the story, “He’s great to have around because he becomes the focal point.” “Everyone in Britain talks about the weather, but everyone in the office wants to talk about Jax.”

Some people just want to say hello or bring him a treat, while others want to hug him. He’s developed into quite a character.”

Jax spends a lot of time outside, including swimming and walks with his parents, in addition to accompanying his father to work every day. After all, “He’s part of our family,” Chandler explained to The Dodo.

We might be more likely to turn off the computer and mail a letter if there were more canine employees at post offices!
