Surprise Home Makeover for Homeless Family Who Slept On The Floor

Lamanda Brown and her four children received the surprise of their lives recently when they walked through a fully furnished home after being homeless for three years.

The family was able to transition to public housing thanks to the non-profit Humble Design, which assists families leaving homeless or abuse shelters with the process of rebuilding their home lives. All of the furnishings are provided by the organization through donations and the repurposing of gently used household goods.

When the Browns entered their new home and saw their own beds, the children couldn’t contain their joy or their tears.

The full-length video of Humble Design’s reveal and the Brown family’s reaction is available here.
