This puppy was not desired by anyone, but then something occurred…
When the nuns of Our Lady of Christian Doctrine lost their dog, they decided to go to a nearby shelter and adopt a dog they knew wouldn’t be adopted.
That’s when they met Remy, a 9-year-old Pit Bull. She’d been in Hi Tor Animal Care Center for months, and her chances of being adopted were bleak.
“I purposefully sought a dog that no one else wanted,” Sister Veronica Medez told news agencies. I wanted to bring home a dog that would otherwise be put down if we didn’t adopt her. And when I saw the sign that stated ‘nine years,’ I said to Virginia, ‘Virginia, we want this one because no one else is going to want her.’
Remy quickly brightened their home with her loving demeanor once they brought her home. “She’s a senior, and we’re seniors,” Sister Virginia Johnson said of Remy. “She’s a nice dog, and she’s sociable.”
