When the family of a sweet dog moved away and couldn’t keep her, she left her current home and walked 20 miles to find them. She was so desperate to see them that she did it twice before the Seminole Humane Society intervened.
According to the animal shelter,
“Let us tell you Cathleen’s story. Cathleen is a treasure, and her first family adored her. However, they relocated to a townhouse where they were unable to keep her.”
“A few months ago, they gave her to someone in Prague.” Cathleen has traveled TWICE from Prague (a 20-mile trip) to Seminole to see her family.”
“Her heart yearns to be with them, but they are unable to accommodate her. We’ve stepped in to help Cathleen with her next adventure.”
“Cathleen is a Great Pyrenees mix who is six years old. She is modest, gentle, and passive. Sweet and a foodie. She is a happy, healthy dog who is housebroken, does not pull on a leash, and enjoys being around children.”
“Cathleen is a gentle soul who wouldn’t hurt a fly.” She gets along well with other dogs. We’re looking for an inside home with a fenced yard for Cathleen.”
“Someone who is patient and looking for a calm dog.”
They posted a video of her in her kennel, and her expressive face is impossible not to adore!
Cathleen’s loyal heart, it appears, did not go unnoticed. In fact, it helped her find a home just four days after Seminole Humane Society shared her story. They announced that she was adopted by a forever family who matched with her special criteria and will be moving to Texas.
Cathleen and her new family deserve congratulations. We wish her the best of luck and hope that she will fall in love with her new family and never want to leave.
