Jindo Dog, who had been m.i.s.s.i.n.g for 15 days, was discovered on a snowy mountain top.

It’s being dubbed a “Christmas miracle” by one couple. Luna, their beloved res.cue dog, was found miles away from home on top of a snowy mountain after two weeks of searching!

Luna went missing near her home in North Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 29, 2021. Bianca Camacho, Luna’s owner, claims the dog bolted after she dropped her leash while walking in one of the city’s parks.

Camacho and her partner, Kyle Silva, began searching the area and the internet for Luna right away. They hired pet searchers, and the community chipped in to assist with the search.

Luna is a three-year-old South Korean Jindo dog who had been with Camacho and Silva for five months before going mi.ssi.ng. The dog is shy and wary, and he is still getting used to life in Canada.

The weather in the area was turning colder, which added to their anxiety.

“Not having her here at home and not knowing where she was,” Camacho told Castanet, “was probably one of the most dif.fi.cult things we’ve ever had to endure in our lives.”

Luna, on the other hand, not only sur.vi.ved, but she also made it to the top of Grouse Mountain, a popular ski mountain about 8 kilometers away. On December 14, 2021, a staff member spotted paw prints in the snow and discovered Luna hiding under a chairlift.

Luna was rec.ogni.zed by Kevin Smith, Grouse Mountain’s operations manager, from a photo on social media. They were able to entice her out with a samosa, thanks to Gordon McNaughton’s help. Luna was wrapped in McNaughton’s sweater to keep her warm, and they drove her to a nearby cabin where she could be secured in a travel kennel before riding down the gondola to the mountain’s base.

Camacho began to shake and cry with joy when she received a message from the mountain staff. She and Silva rushed over to Grouse Mountain, and as soon as they saw Luna exit the gondola, they burst into t.ea.rs.

She told Castanet, “We cr.i.ed our eyes out.” “It was nothing short of a Christmas miracle.”

All things considered, Luna is in relatively good health. She has a few br.o.ken nails and has clearly lost weight as a result of her or.d.eal. She is, however, eating and taking a well-deserved rest.

Camacho told City News, “She’s already relaxing on her little bed by the fi.re.place, and she’s extremely exh.au.sted.” “We’re going to spend as much time with her as we possibly can.” Simply lavish her with aff.ect.ion.”
