When Hope For Paws received the call to help Stewie, he had been discarded on the streets and had been living as a stray for over a year. When his saviors first approached him, the poor elderly dog had eaten boulders to avoid feeling hungry and was so terrified that he raced away.
He was having a hard time on his own, and his r.e.s.c.u.e.r.s found that he was covered with tumors – thankfully, they were all benign. But, as you’ll see, it was while Stewie was in foster care that his true personality began to emerge.
