Dogs are becoming increasingly common in hospitals. It’s not as if the dogs are simply allowed to enter and settle in. In some cases, however, they are allowed to see their owners.
Some nursing homes allow dogs to visit patients and interact with them. It is a type of therapy that aids people.
Giovanni had a heart att.ack while walking his dog, Nancy, in Italy last month. The paramedics attempted to resuscitate Giovanni, but the 73-year-old fell into a co.ma at the hospital.
Nancy stood helpless on the sidelines. Giovanni’s health was deteriorating. He was in the intensive care unit.
Giovanni was not alone; his daughter, Deborah, was also present. Deborah soon discovered that pets were welcome to visit the hospital.
As a result, Nancy was summoned to see Giovanni. Nancy was placed on Giovanni’s bedside and kissed him. He responded to her, much to everyone’s surprise!
Deborah noted that his expression had changed and that he appeared to be on the verge of crying. As if saying goodbye to his beloved dog was what he wanted to do before leaving this world.
Giovanni appears to be at ease after her visit. He is unlikely to awaken from his co.ma, according to doctors. He will soon be moved to a long-term care facility.
Nancy should be allowed to continue visiting Giovanni, in my opinion.
That exact moment is captured in the video below.
