Larry, a 10-month-old Golden Retriever, is already obsessed with retrieving almost anything. And the other day, he found himself in an amusing situation that left his family puzzled at first, but then laughing out loud.
Lauren Duffy wondered aloud what Larry had gotten himself into when she noticed his fur was blue and red all over. She followed the trail of color out of the kitchen and discovered a slew of wax crayons – yes, crayons – melted in the grass.
Duffy’s 2-year-old and 4-year-old were coloring at a table when Larry jumped up, grabbed some, and ran away with them into the yard. They were melted into goo by the scorching Arizona sun. Larry, of course, rolled his eyes at them.
Larry is still stained blue after three baths. Duffy told Arizona’s 12 News, “I can’t look at him without laughing right now.” Duffy’s 4-year-old daughter, on the other hand, is concerned that Larry’s new fur color will be permanent. “Is he going to be blue forever?” she’s been asking her mother.
“It’s good to get a laugh where you can,” Duffy told the news outlet, adding that he wanted to share the funny video with everyone on social media.
