Thousands of miles are driven by a man to a.d.o.p.t a this puppy

Nubz, by all accounts, is a unique dog. He lost all of his hind paws as a puppy in a puppy mill, but he is a true survivor. So it’s only fitting that he found the most loving, adoptive father who simply wants to give him the best life possible.

Nubz was rescued from a puppy factory in Missouri, where his mother allegedly chewed off his toes. (This can occur if the mother is stressed, inexperienced, or unstable – all of which are common in puppy mill pups!) He’s most likely the only one of his litter to make it out alive, and when he did, he was placed in foster care with Carla.

Meanwhile, Jim Havlinek, who lives across the nation, watched Nubz on Facebook and fell in love with the pup’s resilience and passion as he worked with rescuers to walk with his prosthesis.
