It was such a touching reunion. The Humane Society of Chittenden County was delighted to see two old friends reunited after a two-year separation.
They described the reunion in the following way:
“After her owners were unable to afford an expensive surgery to repair her torn CCL, Rottweiler Bella was surrendered to the Humane Society of Chittenden County.
We put her up for adoption so she could recover in a home after her surgery, and a local veterinarian generously offered to perform it for free.”
They didn’t realize it at the time, but their actions would soon be noticed by a woman who knew Bella. Jenn, the woman, dialed the animal shelter right away. According to the Humane Society,
“Last weekend, we received a call from a woman who claimed Bella was her dog, which she had lost two years ago during a tumultuous divorce and had been missing ever since.” Jenn came by today to see if Bella was really her dog…”
When they saw each other, both the dog and the owner were overcome with emotion! Bella can’t stop circling and snuggling with Jenn as Jenn wipes away tears, and the moment is captured on video.
It’s clear from the videos that the two are overjoyed to have reunited after such a long time apart – what a heartwarming reunion.
