A stray senior dog was discovered roaming the streets near a train station. Howl Of A Dog knew they had to save him because he was cold, scared, and depressed.
They didn’t want to risk him running into a passing train by attempting the rescue near the station, so they followed him and tried to redirect him somewhere safer.
He ran away every time rescuers got closer because he was nervous, but he eventually decided to walk toward them when he realized they were there to help him.
Rescuers noticed he was limping and his left eye appeared to be injured as he got closer. He was actually very calm and allowed rescuers to pet him. This old dog appeared to have had enough of living on the streets and was ready and willing to go wherever these people wanted him to go.
He was extremely cooperative, even allowing rescuers to attach a leash to him. They then took him to a veterinary clinic to have him examined and receive proper medical care.
They scanned him for a microchip while he was at the vet, and to their surprise, he had one! They contacted his owner and learned that the dog, named Bobi, had run away from home and was found nearly ten miles away. Unfortunately, his owner did not want him back and requested that rescuers take him.
Bobi is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and is nine years old. He is a gentle and loving dog who is looking for a loving family with whom he can spend his golden years.
He’s completely blind in the eye they thought was injured. There is an old scar near his eye, indicating that he was previously injured and possibly hit there. Thankfully, his right eye’s vision was unaffected, and he can see clearly out of it.
