When Mike Nuanes received a call from an animal shelter claiming to have his dog, he was perplexed. His girlfriend went to check on their four dogs right away, and they were all fine. When they indicated they were calling from a shelter 1,400 miles away, he was even more perplexed.
Jill Davis of the Fulton County Animal Shelter in Atlanta, Georgia, inquired, “Is his name Jordan?” when he assured her she had to be mistaken. Mike’s jaw dropped at that point.
Mike hadn’t seen his Shih Tzu, Jordan, in eight years, when the dog was still a puppy. Mike and his late wife had gone for a walk to a neighbouring residence for brunch with family.
Despite the fact that Jordan appeared to have been through a lot in the video and didn’t seem to recognize Mike, Mike informed the shelter when he came home that Jordan was doing fine.
Jordan was having a great time getting to know Mike’s other four dogs and being welcomed home. “They welcomed him right in and are getting closer to him,” Mike added.
It’s incredibly comforting to know that, despite his experience, Jordan has finally found his way home.
